Rex Allen

GALLUP — Memorial services for Rex Allen, 65, will be at 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, 2011, at the Fellowship Church. Grace Lueras will officiate.
Allen was born June 25, 1946, in El Paso, Texas.

He moved to Gallup in 1956 and graduated from Gallup High School in 1974 and married his wife Oma Jane in 1966. Allen was a Cub Scout leader and a little league baseball coach. He worked at United Nuclear in the 1970s and early 1980s. His hobbies included working on clocks and computers and he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Allen enjoyed dressing up as Witchy-poo for Halloween, Bo-Jangles for birthdays and Santa Claus for Christmas. He was also an active member at the Fellowship Church.

Survivors include his sons Robert Allen and Stephen Alen; daughters Rexann Allen, Lori Allen and Becky Romero; brother Bill Allen; sister Sherry Williams and eight grandchildren. Allen was preceded in death by his wife Oma Jane Allen; his father Orville Douglas and mother Velin Allen-Stevens.

Pallbearers will be Alyssa Allen, Christopher Berger, Jenell Romero, Joshua Allen, Nicholas Romero, Jacob Romero, Austin Kollie, Mikey Montoya, Marisol Bionez and Lexie Overman.

The family will receive relatives and friends at 3303 Blue Hill Ave. following the memorial service.

Krystal Benally

BORREGO PASS, N.M. — Funeral services for Krystal Benally, 15, will be at Borrego Pass Christian Church. Bobby Willie will officiate. Burial will be in Smith Lake Community Cemetery.
Benally died July 23, 2011, in Borrego Pass. She was born Aug. 6, 1995, in Crownpoint into the Zia People Clan and the Red Streak People Clan.

Benally attended pre-school at Casamero Lake Head Start and kindergarten to eighth grade at Borrego Pass school. She attended high school at Thoreau High School and received numerous awards. Benally was Student of the Year, a basketball MVP, first all tourney in volleyball and 2008/2009 Borrego Pass School Princess.
Survivors include her mother Arlene Benally; brothers Fernando Benally, Darrin Lyons; sister Kristan Benally and grandparents Hilda and Fred Benally. Benally was preceded in death by Anna Garcia, Wally Garcia and Chris Sam.

Pallbearers will be Francis Pinto, Charlie Tom Sr., Charlie Tom Jr., Nathaniel Dakai, Dion Dawes and Brandon Bitsilly.

The family will receive relatives and family at Elsie Pinto’s residence in Borrego Pass following services.

Marcus Enrico

THOREAU — Services for Marcus Enrico, 17, will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2011, at the Thoreau Church of God. Ray and Florence Barker will officiate. Burial will be in the Thoreau Cemetery.

Encino died July 23, 2011, in San Antone Spring, Thoreau. He was born Feb. 17, 1994, in Crownpoint into the Two Who Came by the Water People Clan born for the Towering House People Clan.

Enrico attended Thoreau High School. He enjoyed playing basketball and football, taking walks, remodeling his car, putting electronics together and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his mother Nancy Larry; his father Peterson Enrico; brothers Benjimin Larry, Jeremiah Bruce, Jacob Bruce and Peter Enrico; and sisters Karen Larry, Sharline Tso, Shelia Smith, Tammie Willie, Keena Thompson and Cassandra Irving. Enrico was preceded in death by his grandparents Fen and Evelyn Bruce and brothers Jeremiah Bruce and Fabian Emerson.
Pallbearers will be Peter Enrico, Dion Emerson, Dion Emerson Jr. Brauviyo Chischilly, Benjimin Larry Jr., Iverson Payton.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Thoreau Chapter House at 5 p.m. on July 25, 2011.
